There are a number of general considerations as follows:
- Only one proposal may be submitted for consideration at each
deadline and the same proposal may not be submitted to a jury/assessment
panel for consideration more than twice.
- Once an artist has received a grant at a particular level of
artistic development, he/she cannot apply at a more junior level.
- There is no restriction on the number of applications an individual
can submit in a lifetime.
- Artists may not hold more than one grant at a time,
with the exception of a Travel / Professional Development
grant.
- Artists are eligible for consecutive grants up to the equivalent
of $25,000 in one fiscal year.
- Visual artists cannot receive more than two Visual Arts Grants
every four years in each of the categories (A, B, C).
- Writers cannot receive more than the maximum from a Writer's
Grant every two years in each of the categories (A, B and C).
