1) Where is the MAC office located and what are your office hours?

The Manitoba Arts Council is located at 525-93 Lombard Avenue Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B 3B1. (T) 204.945.2237 TOLL FREE 1.866.994.ARTS (2787) in Manitoba only.

2) Where do I find the program guidelines, application forms and criteria?

The majority of individual grants can be downloaded from the web site by choosing one of 6 categories: Arts Development/Aboriginal Arts/Literary Arts/Performing Arts/Touring/Visual Arts. Then click on the Grants to Individuals option. The guidelines and criteria can also be emailed, mailed, of faxed to you by calling 204.945.2237 or 1.866.994.2787.

Grants to organizations are not available to download, but the guidelines can be obtained by calling 204.945.2237 or 1.866.994.2787, or by contacting the Program Consultant.

3) Can I email or fax in my application?

The application requires an original signature; therefore it can only be accepted by mail or in person.

4) Do you allow deadline extensions?

Applications MUST be postmarked by the deadline indicated on the guideline. However, if the deadline falls on a weekend or on a major holiday, it moves to the next business day.

5) How do I know who was awarded grants in the various categories?

6) How do I get information on the peer assessment/jury process?

All the information concerning how grants are awarded and the peer assessment process is available on the web site under the Applying for a Grant heading.

7) Where can I get a copy of the MAC logo for my publication?

Various versions of the logo are available for you to download from the web site by choosing About the Council and then clicking on Logo Standards. A camera-ready version is also available by calling 204.945.2237 or 1.866.994.2787.

8) Does MAC have a newsletter?

MAC no longer publishes a print copy of the newsletter. All MAC news is now posted on our web site, on the relevant pages. If you would like to receive an occasional email alerting you to significant new information (new programs, news releases, etc.), please click on the Web Update Notification page.

9) Where can I find information on the Artists in the Schools program?

All information on the AIS Program is available on our web site by clicking on Programs, Arts Development and then Artists in the Schools Directory, or call the Program Consultant.

You may follow this link to our Program Deadline Calendar, or you can contact the Program Consultant for specific program deadline dates. Deadlines vary throughout the year depending on the program.
